There are several important people in my life, and many of them end up in my blog posts. Here are some of the key players:

Kip My oldest brother. Lives in Idaho, where he works for a hotel, wining and dining potential clients. We like to eat Indian food together. He has two big dogs.

My Brother The Chiropractor (MBTC) My second brother. He also lives in Idaho, where he runs his own chiropractic clinic and works very hard keeping it going and feeding his family.

Wendy My second sister. She lives in Utah with her family. They have a newborn baby and just moved into a new house, which they built (er, are building). We like to play together, as well as working together on home-improvement projects.

Damber My youngest brother (though still older than me) and his wife. I try to avoid calling them this, because I know they don’t like it much, but it still slips out every now and then. They live in Colorado with their two daughters and one son.

The Queen (previously known as The Big One) The oldest daughter of Damber. Currently four years old, she likes to play dress-up, color, watch princess movies, cook, and put on makeup.

The Princess (previously known as The Little One) The second daughter of Damber. Currently 18 months, she likes to make doggie sounds, play ball, and mimic others’ actions and sounds.

Erin A former roommate of mine. She’s currently living with her family in Missouri. We have a Master Plan to live together again one day. She has the best judgment of anyone I know … except, sometimes, when it comes to her own life.

Margo Another former roommate, who lived with me and Erin. She lives in Kansas, where she recently started a job as a speech-language pathologist in one of the local school districts.

NM (aka Nicholas Mathery) Another former roommate. I met her at church in Texas, and when Erin and Margo moved away, she moved in with me (along with Brenda). She recently moved to the San Francisco area, where she and her boyfriend like to make me jealous by watching indie rock shows.

Brenda As mentioned previously, a former roommate in Texas.  I also met Brenda at church; she studied Dietetics and is now working at a hot-shot job in the Fort Worth area.

Katie (aka KB) A good friend of several years, Katie is a step-cousin of my missionary trainer, a current high school English teacher in Ohio, and a former roommate of mine in Provo, Utah.  She’s always good for a serious or light-hearted talk about language, literature, and teaching.  And, she’s just plain awesome.

JoAnna showed up quite a bit in blog entries from my Lancaster days (that would be about October 2004 to May or June 2005).  Originally from Indiana, she spent a year in Lancaster on a foreign exchange program through her university.  We used to travel around England together and just hang out on campus, often with Sarah and Denise (two other Lancaster students who went to church with us).  JoAnna introduced me to the wonders of Thai cuisine, for which I am deeply thankful.
